I will share it with you from the exhibition in April. I remember that it was at the 3D Exhibition in Pazhou, Guangzhou on April 16th, 2017. I saw vanco’s latest low-temperature PCL material and low-temperature printing pen. It was nothing. It’s a big fuss. Because PCL low-temperature materials have been developed and mass-produced in the early days, as a semi-professional print player, these industry dynamics can still be understood somewhat. At the time, they were introduced by vanco's business personnel, their low-temperature materials. The PCL is used at a temperature of about 80 ° C, and the print pen is also matched. I just wanted to buy it back for testing, but then I heard them say that they still have lower temperatures in research and development. Xiaobian thought about it. If it is for children to play the colder the better, the higher the security. I didn't think much about it, lovers, driven by curiosity, and beauty business, they left their contact information at their exhibition.
Here, It's not the first time for me to pay attention to their materials, before they have tested their high-brightness materials, it feels okay, so this time also attracted Xiaobian's curiosity.
About a month later, on the 18th of last week, they said that their lower temperature PCL materials have been successfully mass-produced. I asked if I needed to test or use it. Of course, I could not refuse.
Here are some of the colors that vanco sent, white, yellow, and orange. (I am also grateful to the low-temperature materials provided by vanco, the ultra-low temperature printing pen is bought by myself)
The first thing to come back from work is to compare the appearance of vanco's PCL cryogenic materials with a PCL cryogenic material from Guangzhou and a PCL cryogenic material from a Shenzhen company. Compared to the other two companies, vanco's PCL low temperature material has a slightly smoother surface and a uniform diameter.
I use the most cumbersome method to measure whether the softening or melting of their natural materials is pure or not, and whether it is non-impurity.
The test was carried out using warm water of about 50 ° C and about 60 ° C respectively. The results are transparent and completely free of impurities. Of course, this is the pure material they gave. Next, I will use the 3D printing pen to test: First of all, we need to check whether the small high-tech high-precision infrared thermometer is normal:
After testing, the testers are not much different, confirmed to be positive production, room temperature between 29 ° C and 30 ° C. The second is to test whether vanco's 3D printing pens are like the 50°C printing pens they introduced. Turn on the power, heat the pen, and use the infrared thermometer to test the temperature of the pen tip every 1 minute to see if it is the low temperature safety mentioned in the introduction.
As shown in the figure, at least six sets of data were detected. It is basically confirmed that the printing pen is between 50 and 60 ° C, and is also around 50 ° C. It is a safe printing temperature. Although it is not stable within 50 ° C, it can Stabilization at 60 ° C or 50 ° C or so feels very good, this small series is also considered to pass.
The above indicators are very good, let us look at the discharge situation, is it smooth?
According to the printing tools and materials and parameters provided by vanco:
Printing pen temperature 50~60°C

At the beginning, the discharge was a bit unsatisfactory, and I went to the side. But this is not the point. Generally, if the nozzle is originally material, it will be a little flawed. As long as it can be normal, it will not affect the test.
Sure enough, about half an hour of extrusion using the medium-speed gear, the discharge becomes very smooth, and there is no more than just extruding the material to the other side. It is estimated that the material has just been thrown to the side because vanco is Detecting the printing pen test uses the material to check the extrusion, and checks whether the printing pen is a qualified printing pen, and the leftover material. To ensure the accuracy of my test, take a look at it!
Finally, it was confirmed that vanco's printing pen and its low-temperature PCL material did not show any major problems and were basically qualified. Another one, I suddenly thought of a detail, what is the temperature when extruding? This can be the key point. When children print things, they will all be out of stock. If you encounter something, please test it again to ensure the rigor and accuracy of the evaluation.
The above temperature test conditions, the test interval is 2min, and the printing pen is medium speed discharge. In general, the temperature is kept between 50 and 60 ° C, but we have found that the temperature seems to be a bit low compared to the previous extrusion. I think the reason is that the PCL absorbs heat when it melts, and absorbs part of the heat during heating. And taken away as it is squeezed out, resulting in relatively low temperatures. This is also a good thing, which also reduces the temperature of the pen nozzle. I have read some explanations about the temperature, but I have a little confusion. Most of the comments think that the temperature is below 50 °C, and the children touch it. There are some comments that the temperature is within 60 °C. There are also some comments. I think that it is a safe temperature within 40 °C; but I think it is a safe temperature at around 50 °C. I also tried to hold the nozzle by hand, probably holding the 1 minute clock, I feel that there is no burned hand, this... should not It’s because my skin is thick and thick, huh, huh! In short, it is a matter of opinion, the evaluation is also for reference only! After the temperature test, the extruded material is also smooth, not hot, so the molding prints like this? I feel that the adhesion is particularly good. I have never tried to be as sticky as vanco's low temperature PCL material. Even their PLA has no such stickiness. If you look at it, it can be piled up, and the surface gloss is still very bright. , indicating that the melting is sufficient, indirectly indicating that the melting temperature of the material is very low and low.

In order to test the performance of vanco's different colors of PCL low temperature chat, it also adds a little artistic feeling when used with a variety of color materials.
Then the two-dimensional sample is glued together, and a pair of 3D stereo glasses will come out. This gives me the feeling that it is awesome! Not as people often say, low temperature PCL materials are difficult to print, slow to form, and can't draw anything. I haven't thought so after using vanco's ultra-low temperature PCL material. Practice is to test the displacement standard of truth. I have tried to know.
According to the actual printing, I believe that everyone can feel the 3D pen printing effect of vanco's ultra-low temperature PCL wire. After various tests, it can be seen that the effect of the printed things is quite real. . I personally think that the wire is still very good overall, there are disadvantages and advantages, it is quite good, but it is also very easy to use, there is no such thing as the PCL said by the insiders, it can be quickly shaped, three-dimensional molding.
Finally, let's summarize the characteristics of this test:
1. The ultra-low temperature PCL wire has good surface smoothness, melt and transparency, no impurities, stable wire diameter, no joints, and the material still retains its surface smoothness after color matching, without much change.
2, the average temperature of the heat of the low-temperature printing pen is calculated to be about 55 °C, the average temperature at the time of printing and discharging is about 50 °C, which is considered to be within the safe temperature range and is acceptable.
3. The wire has high toughness and will not deform after cooling and setting, but the strength is worse and the hardness is much lower, but these do not affect its application. PCL materials are naturally degradable environmentally friendly materials with good biocompatibility and are mainly used in environmental protection and biological fields.
4, the nozzle of the printing pen will not be hot in 1min, it is a printing device or tool with high safety factor, which can be used by some children or elementary school children to enhance their creative thinking.
5. In addition, the ultra-low temperature PCL environmental protection material has very good adhesion. The best adhesion I have encountered for the time being is almost impossible to completely remove or destroy after bonding. This is really good. .
